Delectable Mountains Scrap Quilt

My Delectable Mountains Scrap Quilt is finished! I have thoroughly enjoyed making this quilt and I am pleased to have added another traditional patchwork block to my sewing repertoire. This quilt was inspired by the Rummage Quilt Pattern by Stephanie Dunphy, but I have made a number of changes, including reducing the block size, and alternating the Delectable Mountains quilt block with a Half Square Triangle unit.
Most fabrics were pulled from stash, others have only just arrived and were yet to find their way into the stash; some of the fabrics are older prints and some are recent releases. Working from stash is so satisfying and I love pulling out the many fabric "favorites"; working out what does and what doesn't go together, although generally I find that most of my stash plays nicely together.
The quilt has been quilted with an all over grid of intersection (edge to edge) straight lines; first by ditch-stitching the block seam lines, then adding more lines of stitching in between those lines. The lines are evenly spaced - 1¼ inches apart.
For the back of the quilt I have used my backing fabric of choice - Newsprint from the Story collection by Carrie Bloomston. This continues to be a favorite print as it seems to work so well with most of my quilts, and is therefore handy to have on hand in bolt-like quantities. I am so glad it is still available!
And I have matched it with my signature black/white stripe binding fabric - 1/8" stripe by Timeless Treasures.
