Sunday Stash #323 Mendocino by Heather Ross

Mendocino by Heather Ross
for Windham Fabrics

It's back! By popular demand Mendocino by Heather Ross is being reprinted and is due for release this month. The colors have been slightly tweaked and updated to inspire a new generation of sewists and quilters.

This collection was inspired by Heather’s life spent on the rugged, and remote coastline of Northern California. Swimming Mermaids, seahorses, octopi both large and small, kelp and schools of fish round out this playful collection. The rich colors are drawn from redwood forests, black sand beaches, and "that unfathomably rich red that is found only on the belly of a fire-belly newt".

These mermaid prints - and the low volume fish fabrics - have been so sought after! I think it is wonderful to see these fabrics again, reprinted on a quality quilting cotton base cloth, and available in abundance.

MENDOCINO BY HEATHER ROSS available this month from:
The Fat Quarter Shop
Fabric Worm
Jones & Vandermeer
The Quilted Castle
Westwood Acres
Stash Fabrics
Pink Castle Fabrics
Fabric Bubb

Enjoy Sunday!

  1. Wow when I first started this quiting addiction I remember seeing these cute fabrics in quilts. Might wait to see if some of the Aussie suppliers get some in. Love those mermaids :-)
