The finished quilt measures 50 inches x 50 inches.
204 four-patch units.
Each finished square measures 1 1/4" x 1 1/4".
Background Fabric:
Cotton chambray fabric in dark grey by Lecien Fabrics
49 squares.
Each finished square measures 5" x 5".
Total patchwork pieces: 865.
Quilting:
Ditch stitching all vertical and horizontal block seam lines
then adding additional diagonal lines through the center of all blocks.
Thread:
Cotton thread for piecing and quilting.

Batting:
100% low loft cotton batting.
I am pleased to share with you lots of photos of my finished Postage Stamp Scrap Buster Quilt. Scrap busting and tiny (repetitive) patchwork piecing makes for a happy quilter (me!). Pieced from many scrappy four-patch units this quilt is perfect for all those small fabric pieces and also presents as a great "leaders and enders" quilt project.
Quilted with edge to edge straight lines; first by ditch stitching vertical and horizontal "block" lines, followed by sets of diagonal lines that cross through the center of the four-patch blocks. I usually try and avoid marking lines for quilting (instead using a quilting guide attached to the walking foot to trace seam lines or stitching lines) but for this quilt I did mark the diagonal lines that run through the center of the background fabric (grey squares) with a Clover Hera Marker. It's quick and easy, and helps to keep those lines from wandering.
For the back of the quilt I have used my favorite text fabric Newsprint from the Story collection by Carrie Bloomston ....
... and I have matched it with my signature black/white stripe fabric for the binding.

How lovely is the weave of the cotton chambray fabric? I love the contrast of the colorful printed fabrics against the dark grey chambray, but the weave of the chambray fabric adds interest and texture, as does the simple quilting grid.
