Sunday Stash #40

A new stash addition - I just could not resist:

These fabrics are Market Fresh by Japanese manufacturer Hokkah House Designer.   The Market Fresh range of  fabrics are marketed as a canvas, for me that brings to mind quite a heavy weight fabric, which these fabrics are not.  They are only slightly heavier in weight than standard quilting cotton. These fabric have a lovely drape and texture and are definitely suitable for quilting.

Have a great day!

  1. These are beautiful ... great find.

  2. I purchased the Market Fresh in linen, and the Saffron Craig kit with the pattern by Kate Conklin. It's supposed to arrive this week. I can't wait!

  3. Yet again, gorgeous fabrics Rita!

  4. I love the Market Fresh fabrics & am lucky to be living in Tokyo where the choice of Japanese fabrics will drive anyone crazy! Happy Valentine's Day & Happy Chinese New Year too (which is also today!).

  5. Thank you for posting this, I wanted to buy that as well but the canvas threw me out of the market on that. I am glad to know now that is not a tough canvas material.

    Thanks for the help.

  6. I have some of the Fantastic Fairies waiting for inspiration - can't wait to see what you do with these. And those Japanese fabrics are lovely too!

  7. I keep putting these into my shopping cart at Hawthorne Threads, then taking them out, then putting them back in, and again taking them out. You've just tipped me over the line. They're going back in and staying in!

  8. Beautiful fabrics! Looking forward to seeing what you will use them in.

  9. Love the above thanks, Rita - especially the fairies by Saffron - I'm a big fan!
    Hugs - Lurline♥

  10. I love being introduced to new fabric. I've just designed a pattern with Saffron Craig's fairies fabric and it was so beautiful to work with. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
