Hexagon Quilt

I have forged ahead with the Half HexagonQuilt Along and have completed the quilt top. Thank you to everyone who left such encouraging comments on my previous post about this quilt.

I am very happy with the overall look of the quilt. It is a little busy but the colors have worked well together and the larger fabric prints have added a lot of interest to the quilt.

The quilt top measures 53 inches x 43 inches.

I am keen to start on the quilting, but still need to prepare the backing for this quilt. Hopefully I will get some time to do this on the weekend. I really need more hours in the day - yawn ....

What a wonderful way to make hexagons. I printed the template from Ruth. Need to get my head around making one of these... one day!

  16. Your hexagon quilt is gorgeous. Look forward to seeing how you will quilt it! As for more hours needed in a day, you need one of Ric Rac's clocks! See here:

I still hesitate between a hexagon and a cathedral window quilt? But the more I look at your pictures, the more I'm convinced to begin some hexagons. Now I have to find the fabric!
