Sunday Stash #148

Oh my wordy!

Timeless Treasures
Keep Calm in Multi and Black

Another obsession.  Text prints.  I have quite an obsession with text prints: numbers, letters, words, newspaper prints (see also Sunday Stash #87), and it helps to stash them rather than search for them when you need them as they are not always that easy to find.  Another good excuse reason to collect fabric.  It's a collection, right?
Timeless Treasures
How to Make A Pillowcase
How to Iron a Shirt

Timeless Treasures prints available here:
Pink Castle Fabrics: (How to Iron a Shirt)

And some of the text/wordy fabrics that I have been using (and collecting some time) for my Butterfly blocks (left to right):
  • Newspaper Print by Suzuko Koseki for Yuwa (made in Japan)
  • Headliner - In the Doghouse - by Blank Quilting
  • Artist Sketch Words by Kumiko Fujita for Yuwa
  • Text Print by Kumiko Fujita
Enjoy Sunday!

  3. These text prints are too funny! I used them just once, mixed with batiks, and they turned out a real highlight on the quilt!
Thanks for the fabric sources. Another reason to shop... :-)

  4. You know what is really weird for the Timeless Treasures - Keep Calm - the multi colored one reads as fun, and the black and white one seems VERY bossy and insistent! I think I need to make a sewing machine cover out of the B&W to keep me on task :)

  11. I always love these fabrics but I never end up using any of them. I love the way that you used them across the squares.

  12. Love text fabric! Love all fabrics! But Rita what do you do when the collection takes over your house? I am so afraid if I don't buy it now, I won't have it later! Does everyone have more fabric than they will ever use? Or is it just me?

  13. I love the butterfly blocks although they are really a lot different than the ones my Mimma made :) It's fun to update the old blocks :)
    Keep up the good work!

  14. I think your butterfly blocks are so pretty with the wordstrip centers. A butterfly quilt is high on my sewing list, and you have inspired me!
