Melba is here! Melba is Emma Jean Jansen's third collection for Ella Blue Fabrics and is inspired by her time living in Melbourne as a student. How could I not add this collection to stash?

Iconic Melbourne, my home town for 30+ years! The collection includes the famous W-class Melbourne tram, a list of Melbourne suburbs and train and tram stops, and also the old style public transport ticket. Now these bring back some fond memories!

And then there is the fabulous Magpie print! These native Australian birds are big and bossy, and will swoop you in Spring if you pass too close to a nest (which is terrifying! - I speak from experience), but waking to their early morning song is a uniquely Australian experience. Native Australian flora is also represented by interpretations from gum trees and Banksia plants. These are such dramatic plants with graphic textured seedpods after colorful bursts of flowering.
