Sunday Stash #312 Carkai by Carolyn Friedlander

Carkai is Carolyn Friedlander's fourth collection for Robert Kaufman Fabrics and it is everything we've come to expect from this popular fabric designer and more! Carkai - a made up word - was inspired by life on a cattle ranch - and in particular bones - where Carolyn spent much of her free time immersed in various creative activities such as drawing, painting, and sewing.

The collection features 28 fabrics, 6 designs in up 6 colorways, and includes small scale stash basics and much larger scale feature prints. The colors are bold ~ deep blue, grass green, and vivid orange ~ but also includes several designs printed on a light/white background and hints of metallic detail. I love this collection of unique designs, bold colors and unexpected color combinations! And yes, I have already cut into my Carkai bundle - stand by for my next quilt!
