Sunday Stash #235 Arizona by April Rhodes

Arizona by April Rhodes for Art Gallery Fabrics
Arizona by April Rhodes is a limited edition collection for Art Gallery fabrics and is inspired  April's love for the South West; shades of desert gold and peach against a dusty sky and designs influenced by tribal symbolism.

The collection is made up of just 8 versatile prints some which are larger scale in design and would make great feature fabrics for say bags and home accessories, and of course quilts. I also note a touch of metallic on the triangle print (with minty green background), which I know we'll see more of in fabric collection due to arrive in stores over the next few months. I am not the biggest fan of blingy, shiny, glitter, metallic but so badly want to learn love it on fabric. I can be convinced ...

  1. These fabrics are a lovely combination of colour and pattern. I am also not a big fan of the shiny metallic fabrics, some have a bit too much. Keep the tinsel for the Christmas Tree.

  2. That minty green is so hard to find-- thanks for showing these.

  3. Yes, I have seen that metallic fabrics are coming out. I think they look cheap and I wonder how long the metallic coating stays on? Does it wear off? I don't care for it and will be happy to let others sew with it. That's why there are so many fabrics to choose from ..... to each their own :-)
