Kona Cotton White ~ Stashing

You know things are serious when bolts of fabric start arriving on your doorstep - although it does raise an eyebrow from the RPQ Finance Dept!  But I am definitely in it for the long haul and I am a bit of a fan of this particular fabric:

Robert Kaufman Kona White is a fabric that has been a regular feature in my stash for almost a decade and I have used it in many of my quilts.  Now and again I have a moment of anxiety when I realize I am running low on this much used/loved fabric.

Several times each year Hancock's-Paducah offer free shipping and in return I am happy to reward such generosity (this time also combined with a % discount) with a larger than usual order.

Have fabric - will stitch.

  1. Go Rita! If you're going to use it then why not? I use lots of grey in my sewing and so bought a bolt of Bella Solids grey, it's great to have it on hand always!

  10. I always find myself making a trip to the fabric store to buy more white cotton right in the middle of a project. Having a bolt in my stash would solve that problem!

  16. I am new to quilting and so far for white I've just used white cotton sheet fabric from my local fabric store (I live in Italy). What makes Kona white so special? Is it that much different?
    Thanks,

  17. It's so sad when we have to have bolts of our favorites on hand at all times. I love Moda Black, Moda swirl and this white is so crisp! May have to do the same.
