Blogger's Pillow Party ~ February 2011

Welcome February and please do come and join the Pillow Party fun!

Have you heard about the Blogger's Pillow Party that Rachel from Stitched in Color is hosting?  The Pillow Party is now into it's second month and Rachel has kindly asked me to judge the entries for the month of February.

To enter is easy:

Spruce up your nest with the pillow of your dreams,
Then share by adding your picture to February's Linky.
Enter ONE pillow to win Fabric and the Honor of our judges.
Your pillow can be sewn, knit, crocheted - as long as you made it in the last 3 months.

Your entry must be in by 24 February, 2011.

See all of January's entries here.

The prize for this month's winner is generously sponsored by Fresh-Squeezed Fabrics:

16 Fat Quarters (a total of 4 yards) from the Delilah range by Tanya Whelan

If you are like me and have never made a pillow before and the words "pillow cover with invisible zipper" make you run for cover rather than make one, rest assured it is a whole lot easier you than it looks!

These two patchwork pillow covers are my first ever pillows and both come with an invisible zipper.  There are numerous tutorials on the internet which will help guide you through inserting the zip ~ I used the tutorial found at Design*Sponge.  And can I say I was rather pleased with myself when they were done!  Two pillows, two zips!

Give yourself the chance to win these 20 inch square pillow covers by entering February's  Blogger's Pillow Party.  The pillow covers are a participation prize and the lucky winner will be chosen by Rachel from Stitched in Color.

Pillow Covers ~ back

The winner of the 16 FQ Bundle of Delilah sponsored by Fresh-Squeezed Fabrics will be announced right here on my blog.

The winner of the my Patchwork Pillow Covers will be announced by Rachel @ Stitched in Color.
