Reproduction fabrics, more specifically 30's reproduction fabrics, continue be sought after and often added to stash. I love incorporating these classic vintage designs into my quilts together with modern and contemporary fabrics.

Pinafores and Petticoats by Kaye England is exactly that, a collection of classic 1930's small scale prints reproduced in colors associated with the 1930's pre-depression era; purple, pink, yellow, green, red, and blue.

The collection consists of 11 different designs each printed in two different color ways. The designs are all small scale prints and excellent fabric stash basics. These prints are easy to mix with other collections, and will complement most reproduction collections and many modern fabric ranges. I am really taken by a several of these pretty feedsack floral designs!

  6. These make me think of cool breezes and soft scents in the air. So pretty. I can't help but say though, that the 30's were not pre-depression, but smack dab in the middle of it. Not that that has anything to do with quilting...;D

    1. Exactly. Stock market crashed in 1929 - October? - and the Great Depression followed.
