Seaside ~ finished quilt measures 44.5 inches x 56.5 inches
Color is my thing. And uh yes, fabric is quite possibly my other thing. I love both! Combining the two together is a pleasure. Never work.
It hasn't always been that way. I have had to work at combining fabrics and colors. I have taken a few risks and played with my fabric stash often. I have piled high and edited many a stack of fabrics; arranged and re-arranged what seems like a mountain of different prints/colors. Over time combining fabrics from numerous collections does get easier.
This time was no exception. The Seaside collection by October Afternoon lends itself well to fabric play. The saturated primary colors can be readily interspersed with classic stash fabrics (like polka dots, stripes and simple graphic prints).
I have finished this quilt in my usual style: quilting straight lines on both sides of all seam lines as well as stitching a grid of diagonal lines (cross-hatching). Then completed it by adding a stripey binding ~
Binding fabric: Lecien - Color Basics - Grey Stripe
I have listed this quilt in my Etsy Store.
