What's in the Box ~ Robert Kaufman Bounty Boxes

Late last week a large box was delivered to our home and Oliver (our Miniature Schnauzer) took immediate possession of  it.  I am sure he thought the contents of this box could surely not be fabric this timeYou can't hide a box of fabric this big from the financial controller!

I think Oliver was hoping that it contained dog treats and dog toys, and perhaps a new dog bed that was not a quilt.  Unfortunately for him, he was wrong.

And fortunately for me it was fabric indeed.  Two boxes of the stuff that my dreams are made of (uh yes, I dream of quilts and fabric; my nightmares are rotary cutter mishaps and seam rippers!).  Well, you know ...

  10. I have fabric envy. Oliver is so cute. My dogs always think everything is for them too, but if they don't stop scaring the poor UPS guy he may stop leaving my fabric on the front porch.

  16. I want a big poster of all that fabric, looking at that everyday would be so inspiring to me. I too have a Yorkie/Schnauzer cross named Oliver. My Oliver is still a puppy, both of his hind legs we were severely broken somehow, humane society picked him up, we had his legs repaired, you would never know this little bundle of non-stop energy has legs full of steel rods and pins.
    You are an AMAZING quilter.

  17. At our house it's either, fabric, books or bills, nothing for the dogs. Poor spoiled pups! Love all the FQ's, can't wait to see what you do with them.

  24. I always end up drooling on my keyboard when I look at these Kona FQ boxes! I'm just too cheap to pull the trigger. Man, they are gorgeous, though. I don't think even if I had them I could break them up to cut into them!

  32. I had no idea that boxes of fabrics like that are available... they are gorgeous. I think I'd have to sit and look at them and show them to all my (non-quilting) friends before I could even think about cutting them up.

  42. Oliver, my own wire fox terrier Circe has been similarly tormented and disappointed. She sends her condolences. I, on the other hand, am drooling over the delicious colors you disdain. I can hardly wait to see what your mistress dreams up.

  43. I love packages. Now if I could only have one of those gift type packages come by my favorite UPS driver, that would be SEW wonderful.

    Sewing machine here I come!

  44. What a gorgeous package! I think I would just sit there and pet that beautiful fabric. *breaking out my best Dora* I shall call him Squishy and he shall be my Squishy. OK, done drooling.
