On the sewing front this weekend has been all about quilt backing, basting, pins, bobbin winding, stitching, unpicking, quilt wrangling, standing back to gain some perspective, batting fluff, more bobbin winding ...

... counting down to the last few quilting stitches.  Almost there.

  10. I wrangled a large quilt all weekend while trying to quilt. How, oh how, do you NOT get pleats in grid quilting? I thought I had done a really good job of basting. I ended up picking out all the vertical quilting and just going with a lot of horizontal quilting....so frustrating.

  12. Oh dear. But, hey, what can you expect when you're quilting through a tiny grid like that on the diagonal. I would never dream of trying! You must keep challenging yourself, right? It's fun to see!
