On the sewing front this weekend has been all about quilt backing, basting, pins, bobbin winding, stitching, unpicking, quilt wrangling, standing back to gain some perspective, batting fluff, more bobbin winding ...

... counting down to the last few quilting stitches.  Almost there.

  1. As promised, I am green with envy!!
    Andi xx

  2. I hate pin basting!! But love it when I get to this point in a quilt. I get so excited to see the finished quilt!

  3. Oh wow, its going to be great! Congratulations to Amy!

  4. Congrats to Amy! The quilting looks awesome!

  5. I really do not know how you make them all so quickly, unless it's magic. ;- )

    Congratulations to Amy!

  6. Thanks so much Rita! I can't believe I won!

  7. Congratulations to Amy! What beautiful fabric! Sounds like a fun weekend to me :-)

  8. Congratulations Amy! you enjoy the cloths! Greetings from Argentina

  9. lovelly..
    i love your blog..
come to see mine, i´m starting..

  10. I wrangled a large quilt all weekend while trying to quilt. How, oh how, do you NOT get pleats in grid quilting? I thought I had done a really good job of basting. I ended up picking out all the vertical quilting and just going with a lot of horizontal frustrating.

  11. Congrats to Amy! 'Can't wait to see the finished quilt, Rita - it's looking gorgeously yummy already.

  12. Oh dear. But, hey, what can you expect when you're quilting through a tiny grid like that on the diagonal. I would never dream of trying! You must keep challenging yourself, right? It's fun to see!

  13. Congrats Amy! I'm green with envy ^^

That quilting looks great! Can't wait to see the finished result =)

  14. The batting fluff really does get annoying after a while, doesn't it!

  15. Can't wait to see the final product!
