Red Patch Quilt Top

Just to keep you up to date:

I have finished piecing the quilt top started last week.  I love how the reds all go together, regardless of the depth of color, design, or the style.  I love how well the Amy Butler fabrics, the fresh and modern, team up with the locally screen printed fabrics and even the Rouenneries by French General.

And for something not often seen here - borders are featured in this quilt.

It is now ready for quilting.

  25. It goes to show that we all need to be mess matchy matchy. Reds, maybe more so than any other colour need to show the full spectrum - from the orangey brown ones to the bluey pink ones. And it all still works together.

  28. OK I LOVE that quilt. It is really beautiful and all of the different shades of red really work together. The French General gives it a really classy look too. The pattern is great, it's very inspiring! Thanks for sharing!

  29. Those independent designer birds really draw the eye! I think it's because of the ecru background. The red petals from Lantern Bloom do the same thing for the same reason. Love those Amy Butler full moon dots for the border! I just bought another yard of that myself.
