Work in Progress and Jaffa Cakes

I have chosen a selection of orange and brown fabrics for my next quilt project. They are all cotton printed designer from fabric ranges by Denyse Schmidt, Kaffe Fassett and Amy Butler. They are all from stash!

I am going to call this project/quilt my Jaffa Quilt. The brown and orange color combination takes me back to my childhood where Jaffa Cakes were often a treat we were given whilst at my Grandmother's house. So long ago, and so far away, but still fondly remembered.

  5. Rita, your stash must be a magical place indeed. i would like to come and gaze upon it's magnificence (whilst trying to stifle the urge to roll around in it, lest I look slightly nuts). *sigh*

  12. jaffa cakes are a great inspiration! Do you not get them over in Aus? If not that is an absolute travesty and I think something that should be addressed in parliament!!!

  15. OH Jaffa Cakes!! I fell in love with them when I studied abroad over in London and Scotland a few years ago! I even brought a couple boxes home with me, because we don't have anything like them here in the States. But I did just find something like them at the grocery store this week. I'm hoping they are the same! Can't wait to see the finished product!
